Can I book for a large group?

Yes, large groups (8+) are welcome at VEGA. We even have private areas for hire. Use the enquiry option through the ‘book now’ button to request more information on our packages. Our crew will get back to you within 24 hours. Alternatively, you can contact us on +44 141 428 4490

Can I hire the entire venue for a private event?

Yes, we would love for you to host your event at VEGA. We offer semi and fully private packages (minimum spend applies) with plenty of food and drink options to choose from (maximum capacity is 226 people).

Do you have a dress code at VEGA?

No, anything goes. All we ask is that you don’t wear heels on the bowling alley and leave your football shirts at home.

Are children allowed?

All under 18s should be accompanied by an adult. All children under the age of 18 must leave VEGA Glasgow by 9pm

Is there a taxi rank at VEGA?

You might need to walk a minute to be picked-up from Central Station. In need of a taxi? Speak to our Mission Control team, they can happily book one for you.

Do you offer private dining/meetings?

Yes we do. We have an out of this world private space with epic city views that’s ideal for small meetings, private dining and celebrations. We have a table that seats 10 whilst there’s room for 30 people standing.

How many people can bowl on one lane?

We can host up to eight bowlers on one lane, however, if you’re group is bigger than six, we would recommend booking an extra lane so you have more space.

Can I hire the whole bowling alley for an event?

Yes, you can – the full capacity is 56 people with 32 people bowling at any one time (eight people per lane). We also have plenty of food and drink options to choose from.

What time does bowling start and finish?

The first bowl off starts at 12pm every day and the last slot is at 11pm every day of the week.

Do you cater to dietary requirements?

We do our best to cater to all dietary requirements. Please let us know of any allergies at the time of booking and we will let you know what’s possible.

Detailed allergen information is available on request. We cannot guarantee the total absence of allergens from our dishes. Please always inform our crew of any allergies before placing your order as not all ingredients can be listed.

Do you take walk-in bookings?

Yes, we take walk-in bookings if we have availability. However, if you are visiting between 5 – 10pm on a weekend we would recommend making a reservation.

Do I need to book VEGA?

You do not need to make a booking for breakfast if this is included in your stay. For all other visits, we do keep a small number of tables back for hotel guests but we recommend booking your table for food and drinks and/or bowling ahead of your trip to avoid any disappointment.

How do I make a booking?

How do I cancel my booking?

You can cancel via our booking service using your confirmation email or by giving us a call on +44 141 428 4490 If you need to cancel your bowling booking, pre-payments can be refunded but you will need to get in touch with us to organise. Please note booking T&Cs including cancellation policies that may apply.

What is the cancellation policy on bowling?

Bowling bookings will be refunded if you let us know in advance with appropriate notice. No show bookings will not be refunded.

How do I book the VIP section in Vega and how much does it cost?

Get in touch to find out more via Book Now and select ‘Private Hire Social’ or ‘Corporate/Meeting’  depending on your requirements from the drop down list.

Do you have lift/disabled access?

Yes, we do, please enter via the entrance on Hope Street and take one of the lifts from the lower ground floor. VEGA is fully wheelchair accessible.

What time is breakfast served from?

Breakfast is served every day, on weekdays from 7am – 10.00am and on weekends from 8am to 10.30am.

Do you serve Halal Food?

We have a limited selection of food that is halal. Please contact us to find out more.

Is VEGA pet-friendly?

Except for service animals, no pets are allowed in VEGA.

Do you have a smoking area?

No, VEGA is a strictly no smoking venue. All guests must make their way to the ground floor and exit the hotel if they wish to smoke.

Do you have car parking?

No, we don’t. Your best means of travel to VEGA is by foot, public transport or taxi. Still looking to drive? Ask us about our discounts at the local NCP when making your booking

Can I bring my own alcohol?

No, we cannot allow you to bring your own alcohol to VEGA. We don’t offer a corkage service.

Do you have a wedding licence?

No, but do enquire if you want to host your reception, drinks or party in VEGA, we would love to be a part of your special day

How long is my table held for?

We will hold your table for 15 minutes from the time of booking. Running late? Give us a ring on +44 141 428 4490 to let us know.

What time is VEGA open until?

VEGA is open from 7am weekdays and 8am weekends, and closes at 12am every day.

Do hotel guests need to make a booking or are they guaranteed a table?

Hotel guests who are staying at YOTEL are not guaranteed a table. We recommend making a reservation ahead of your visit.

Do you need to make a separate booking for bowling and drinks / food?

Yes, these bookings need to be made separately when making a booking via our website.

How long will my refund for my bowling booking take?

Once actioned, refunds take 5-7 days to appear in your bank account. Note that refunds are not issued automatically so please do get in touch in advance to let us know that you cannot make your booking.
